Our History
The Tappetificio Nazionale Pietro Radici began its activity with two looms and a small spinning mill, starting to produce fine carpets with Jacquard looms. It was a proposal for providing employment in an area that was lacking resources at the time.
The first corporate diversification begins with the production of pre-made carpets and textile accessories for automobiles. In just a few years, the division will become a leader in the Italian automotive supply industry.
The Tappetificio Nazionale becomes Radici Pietro Industries & Brands S.P.A.
The company’s core business is redefined with new product innovations and new business alliances.
On the 26th of July 2019 Radici is listed on EGM Italia, the Italian stock exchange market dedicated to companies with high grow potential.
After more than 70 years of activity, Radici celebrates its story, all Made in Italy, in a perfect union between tradition and innovation, with a particular attention to design and environmental sustainability.
Sustainability
We are deeply rooted in our community, a green valley in Northern Italy that has welcomed us for over 70 years, and we strive to contribute to the well-being of its resources. Our production is primarily based on the use of secondary raw materials, namely polyester flakes (PET) obtained from recycling the chips of bottles from local companies. This choice allows us to reduce the use of virgin raw materials and actively contribute to reducing environmental impact. Since 2013, we have embarked on virtuous paths to identify conscientious and respectful production solutions, evidenced by the reduction in consumption in our production in recent years. Thanks to the adoption of renewable energy sources and the optimization of our processes, we have managed to reduce energy and methane consumption by 30% and 39%, respectively. Furthermore, through a water recycling system, we have been able to recover 55% of the water resources needed for our production activities.
